7/26-The Berkley Lake Tides and Douglasville Bulls advance to the SBL semifinals.
Behind a strong starting performace from Jeremy Gazzaro and a 4 for 5 night from OF Eric Weiss the Berkley Lake Tides beat the Alpharetta Phillies to advance to the best of three semifinal series against the Rockdale A's. In game two, the Douglasville Bulls took down the Fulton Grizzlies 5-4. Bulls outfielder Jared Willis made a game saving catch in the bottom of the 8th to save two runs, and closer Justin Yackee came in to shut the door in the 9th.
The Berkley Lake Tides will play game one against the Rockdale A's at 7pm at Norcross on Monday night. The Douglasville Bulls will travel to Chatthoochee to take on the Atlanta Crackers in game one of their best of three semifinal.
